Key Requirements & Penalties

  • Requirement: Workplaces with 5+ employees must appoint an OSH-C if no SHO is required.

  • Law: Section 29A(1), OSH (Amendment) Act 2022.

  • Penalty: Up to RM50,000 fine or 6 months jail; serious cases up to RM500,000, 2 years jail, plus RM2,000 daily fine.
