Competency Course By JKKP(DOSH)

OSH-C is a competency-based program designed to empower employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to manage workplace safety and health effectively. Under the OSH (Amendment) Act 2022, companies with 5 or more employees that do not employ a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) must appoint an OSH-C.


Key Aspects of OSH-C Competency: Role & Function: Serves as a competent person to manage OSH documents, conduct risk assessments, and act as a liaison between staff and management. Training Focus: Typically a 3-day program focused on legal knowledge (OSH Act 1994), hazard identification, risk management, and fostering a safety culture. Target Participants: Ideal for SME managers, supervisors, and HR personnel responsible for compliance. Key Skills Acquired: Ability to develop safety policies, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
